Executive Summary

The Michigan Food System Innovator Corps will work, through their host sites, in 10-14 regions - encompassing the entire state - to improve healthy, local food access. Initially they will work with community members and Michigan State University to conduct a regional food access assessment. Members will identify opportunities in their region for improving food access, develop projects and recruit/train volunteer implementation groups in venues such as farmers markets, food pantries and schools.
