Executive Summary Fourteen full-time, 12 half-time and 47 minimum-time AmeriCorps (AC) Members (29.95 MSY) at nine (9) Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC) affiliate sites will recruit and manage Youth Volunteers aged 11-18 to provide team-based community service-learning projects during the project year (September 1, 2012- August 31, 2013). In alignment with the CNCS-designated Capacity Building focus area, funding will enhance volunteer recruitment and management to produce the following targeted outcomes: 1) 50,700 hours of service will be contributed by 3,350 community volunteers (YVC Youth Volunteers) who were recruited by CNCS-supported YVC affiliates (NOM G3-3.7); and 2) 830 additional activities will be completed at 250 nonprofit and community sites as a result of capacity building services provided by CNCS-supported YVC affiliates--including service learning projects directed toward economic opportunity, education, environmental stewardship, and healthy futures (NOM G3-3.13). Constituents of nonprofit agencies will be served in the communities served by the nine YVC affiliates in the following cities: Alpena, MI; Anderson, SC: Baton Rouge, LA; Corvallis, OR; Dallas, TX; Lincoln, NE; Irvine, CA; Racine, WI; and Kanab, UT.
