The Calcasieu Parish Office of Community Services is a public nonprofit social service provider. Our mission is to provide social service, education, intervention, and prevention focused services to Calcasieu Parish's aged, indigent and adolescent population while promoting the development of healthy infants and adolescents.

RSVP volunteers respond to the needs of communities throughout Calcasieu Parish by sharing their time, talents, and expertise. RSVP volunteers will serve youth, persons living with disabilities and alone, area nonprofits and seniors. RSVP volunteers serve at schools, nutrition sites, cultural venues, medical facilities, disaster sites, municipalities and nonprofits. RSVP volunteers makes an impact for so many lives in our community as well as in the surrounding communities with the services they offer and bring to the area.
Calcasieu RSVP volunteers assist in disaster recovery, delivering meals to homebound seniors, serving meals at congregate meals site, assisting homebound seniors with services they are in need of and calling elderly living alone or homebound daily, plus numerous other duties as they arise. RSVP volunteers will allow organizations and area nonprofits to deliver services more efficiently by freeing up professional/para-professional staff to provide other services.
