Whether natural or man-made, disasters cause loss of life, environmental damage, and exacerbate social and economic problems. CNCS maintains a sustained commitment to disaster services through the Disaster Services Unit, which coordinates the agency’s disaster related activities.

This Wordless Wednesday takes a look at these work and lives of a group of RSVP volunteers who recently traveled to Tuscaloosa, AL to support tornado response and recovery.

Learn more about disaster services at CNCS or read about the response to recent severe storms, tornados, and flooding ere, here, or here.

Wordless Wednesday is a regular feature on Serve.Gov that shines the spotlight on spectacular projects and organizations by telling their story through photos alone. Find previous entries here, here and here.
